Cogeco Epico's Android app is plagued by stability and compatibility issues (crashes, buffering, errors) and is limited for away-from-home viewing. Device support is weak for Android TV/Chromecast/Fire TV. Some users find DVR access on mobile and casting to TV workable, but these positives are outweighed by UX problems, long load times, and unreliable sports streaming. Overall, it feels like a step forward for Cogeco in some reviews but far from ready for prime time.

Pros

Ability to record shows and watch DVR content on mobile.
App is functional on Cogeco-supplied boxes and Android phones for some users.
Casting from mobile to a TV works well when the device supports it.

Useless app. Can't watch a single thing outside of your home with this app. What is the point of having the app of you can't watch stuff "on the go?" I'm not going to watch on my phone on my house when I have the cable box set up to the tv. Utterly useless. Switching to Bell! At least with bell I can watch ANYWHERE in the world, not just my home.

If you have Bell do not switch to Cogeco. App not supported on some devices,connectivity issues, fast forward and rewind on DVR work 50% of the time. Edit- customer service says "yes we know there is a problem, unplug unit and do a hard reboot. That may help. "
