Low back pain is a common musculoskeletal disorder that causes important functional and quality of life impairment of patients. Due to the problems of patients' adherence to face-to-face treatment that are related to physical, economic and social barriers, self-management, with the help of health information technology, especially with the use of applications, can be an alternative for increasing practice regular physical exercise and, consequently, reduce pain, improve functionality, muscle flexibility, body balance and quality of life in patients with low back pain. In view of this condition, the Physiotherapy Course at Centro Universitário São Camilo developed the APP “Saúde da Coluna” with the objective of offering to society through physical exercises and recommendations on back care to prevent low back pain and improve quality of life and promoting the health of the population.
