User reviews
This worked like a charm on my 1,883 movies and 189 TV shows (that exported as 571 seasons) from Fandango at Home (Vudu). Directions on how to create an export are somewhat lacking in detail. I was able to obtain lists from Fandango (movies & TV) and Movies Anywhere. At first I wasn't able to figure out how to create a list from GooglePlay but I discovered if I removed "?hl=en" from the end of the web address it would allow me to at least create a text (.txt) file of titles only. In the past other users have noted the purchase date causing problems but for me that was not an issue. Directions: 1) To make things easy, I pinned the extension to my Chrome browser toolbar. 2) If you wish to add/remove the purchase date, or toggle the alphabetical sort order off for your report, right-click on the [VC] extension tile and select [Options]. 3) Log into Fandango, MoviesAnywhere, or Google Play Movies & TV 4) Using one of the exact web pages below, click on the [VC] tile (the Fandango at Home Catalog extension): https://athome.fandango.com/content/movies/mymovies https://athome.fandango.com/content/movies/mytv https://moviesanywhere.com/my-movies https://play.google.com/movies https://athome.fandango.com/content/movies/mywishlist 5) Once the scanning completes, you will see white text lettering in the center of the page (may be hard to see) that says "Save [*] Catalog to CSV File". Select the hyperlink, then you will either be given option to choose the download location or it will immediately download to your default download folder depending on your browser settings. User Notes: When working with an exported report from Fandango (Vudu) there is a column titled MA Import/Export Status. At first glance it seems there are the following options: exported imported exportFailed blank When I filtered on this column I saw I had 857 exported, 1 exportFailed, 359 imported, and 665 blank fields which may be the titles that are only available in Fandango. It looks like this is a really useful column for cross-referencing/comparing with other platforms. Then there is a "MA" column for what may be "Yes" on MoviesAnywhere vs. "No" not on MoviesAnywhere. As an example, I have "The Legend of Frosty the Snowman" on Fandango and the MA Import/Export status is blank so I assumed it wouldn't be available on MoviesAnywhere but no, the MA column says "Yes" so I check and yes, it is available on MoviesAnywhere but doesn't show that I own it. Out of all my movies, there are 44 where there may be an error in my library, or at the very least an inconsistency. A note to the developer, besides fixing the GooglePlay (YouTube) option (or provide instructions on how to use), it would be awesome to eventually see options for exporting inventory lists from Prime Video, AppleTV (iTunes), and Microsoft because although I prefer to purchase in Fandango, movies are sometimes cheaper or only available on another platform. Because of the difference in inventories between platforms and licensing agreements (especially with TV shows not being cross-platform at all), a quality improvement suggestion is to realign your headings between your different CSV report exports. For Fandango there is a column called "Own" but for MoviesAnywhere the seemingly related (and better named) column is "Quality". I have 700+ movies (not to mention TV series) on Fandango that are not linked to MoviesAnywhere. To allow users to more easily combine data sets, I would suggest moving the "Purchase Date" and "Content ID" columns to after the "Rating" column so the report columns align as much as possible since most of us may not be experts with advanced data analysis in Excel like VLOOKUP (or XLOOKUP), power queries, etc. Thank you for sharing this tool. I have over the years tried to keep my inventory up-to-date but found it too time consuming. This has saved me so much time!
