A traveling collection of books that you share with your ward through this book exchange app.
With Boekenbuur, books from the Hasselt Limburg Library will travel in a Hasselt neighbourhood, from resident to resident. Neighbors can exchange books, chat and give reviews via the app. In this way, the local residents get to know each other (better).

How does Boekenbuur work?
- You live in Hasselt, in the Runkst or Banneux districts
- You download the free Boekenbuur app and create your account
- You browse through the home libraries available in your area
- You will certainly find something to your liking: novels in different genres, mix of accessible books, classics, popular series, ...
- Via the chat function you can contact the book neighbor where your chosen book is now
- You meet and get to know each other!
- After you have read the book you can write a review and give a rating
- Then the book travels on to the next book neighbor!

What makes Boekenbuur unique?
- Boekenbuur is the first book exchange app that a city council offers to its residents.
- Boekenbuur supplements the regular activities of Hasselt Limburg Library and thus also reaches Hasselt residents who are not (yet) members of the library.
- Boekenbuur is a project that strengthens the neighborhood and promotes reading.
