Reviewers say Awesome RSS sometimes works where Firefox lacks RSS support and can provide a quick feed URI via a clean icon. However, it appears abandoned and may not work with newer Firefox releases. Feed URL handling is buggy (malformed XML or forcing a download/open), and compatibility with some sites is unreliable. In short, it can help in older Firefox versions but is risky for current setups.
