Detector Maps is a field mapping and research app for gold prospectors, relic hunters and metal detectorists. Explore geological data, historic USGS maps, mining claims, surface geochemistry and LiDAR to identify promising ground across the United States, Australia, New Zealand and British Columbia, Canada. Use real-time GPS navigation and offline map downloads in remote areas.

Plan systematic searches with adjustable detector grids, record breadcrumb trails with background GPS, and save waypoints for coins, relics, gold finds and historic workings. Add notes and photos, then securely sync your discoveries with the web app. The built-in Detector Academy includes 34 short lessons covering maps, LiDAR, waypoints, trails, offline tools and Pro features. Coverage includes nationwide US coin and relic research, gold data in 15 US states, Australian states and territories, New Zealand historic goldfields, and British Columbia. Subscription plans are available through Google Play.
