Bear bell (plus thunder sound)

Bear Bell is a hiking-oriented Chrome extension that uses audible bell sounds and optional thunder, paired with a light to help signal your location. The 'Bell Sound' can loop at a chosen interval and volume, and you can lock the screen to keep the device in your pocket while the alert continues.

The extension offers multiple sound packs (three bells, three thunder variants, plus firecrackers, fireworks, wolf howl, and more) with some sounds labeled as 'additional options' that require watching a video. It also provides a volume bar (1-15), a selectable playback interval (0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds, or Random), and light modes (off, flashing, on). An SOS feature boosts emergency volume and synchronizes light. Note that while the bell will sound, its effectiveness as a bear deterrent cannot be guaranteed; use with caution.
