The Mycologist: Mushroom Maps

Mushrooms don't grow at random. They follow the rain, the soil temperature and the season — and all of that can be read.

The Mycologist turns weather data into growth forecasts for wild mushrooms, region by region, across six European countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

THE GROWTH INDEX
Every zone gets one simple index, recalculated as the weather moves. One glance at the map and you know whether the week is worth your boots.

EXCLUSIVE GROWTH MAPS
Our maps combine forest species, soil type, relief, exposure and growth history — so you search the right forest, not just the right day.

GROWTH ALERTS
Pick a zone, set your threshold, and get a push notification the moment its growth index reaches it. Your favourite forests, watched for you.

YOUR FORAGING LOGBOOK
Save your secret spots (the weather is captured automatically), record your finds, and build your personal map and statistics season after season.

9 COUNTRIES, ONE APP
France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia: wherever you forage, the forecast speaks your forest's language.

FORAGE RESPONSIBLY
The Mycologist tells you when and where mushrooms are likely to grow. The app does not identify mushrooms: never eat a mushroom without certain identification by a qualified expert. Follow local foraging regulations.
