Review summary

Overall, RoutineFlow is valued for helping ADHD users create structured routines with simple UI, reliable reminders, and a visual timer. The main trade-offs are a very limited free tier, frequent bugs and reliability issues after updates, features being removed or altered, and persistent premium prompts. Its usefulness depends on willingness to pay for pro and on the developers delivering stability improvements.
Pros
  • Helps ADHD daily routines and improves focus and executive functioning.
  • Easy to use with a clean, focused UI.
  • Reliable reminders (auditory and haptic) and a visual timer to stay on track.
  • Flexible routine features like skip/snooze and reminders that adapt to changing schedules.
Cons
  • Free version is extremely limited (one routine); premium required for more, making it hard to evaluate or use.
  • Bugs and reliability issues: crashes, timer/alarm problems, and data loss/backups issues.
  • Updates can break features or change the UI in ways that reduce usability (e.g., removing rescheduling).
  • Frequent premium prompts and gatekeeping across core features.
  • Occasional data load/backups issues and account recovery problems.

Update: I paid for lifetime use, but while trying to log back in after some time, the "forgot password" option just gives me an error message. Help? Moving to 1 star until this is resolved, because I'm locked out of something I paid for. Old review is below, which I hope is still true, though I dislike that it now starts with 1,000 questions when you start fresh: I love how simple and intuitive this app is. As a freelancer it's helping me develop and stick to a regular work routine.

I absolutely love this app but can see a few areas that can be improved. it would be nice if once you set up a reminder for a routine if you could change the reminder times as you work out when is best for you and if you could change them from scheduled to flexible as required as well. It would also be great if there was a way to set up routines that are done fortnightly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and yearly. I'd also like to be able to import routines from your other app NeuroList.

This app is really helping me overcome time blindness and reducing my mental load. It would go from great to perfect if there were options to color code routines and to create sub-tasks.

love this app and his other app!!! amazing developer, he's helped so much with breaking down tasks which for ADHD and neurodivergence is a HUGE obstacle when trying to reach goals. thank you, thank you. only thing I'd ask is to maybe make a lower cost version that some of us without income can afford. was just unemployed for a few months and would have loved to have both apps!

I'm not sure I need the pro because I only need one routine per day but if you need it you should get it because the app is great

I love this app. I'm always late for things, and having statistics for how long it actually takes me to do each step of a process and thus how long the routine as a whole will take really helps me believe that I actually have to allocate X amount of time for a routine instead of thinking "nah, I can do that way faster".
