History shows each blocked call and the rule or setting that stopped it. Rule check warns you when one of your rules overlaps or cancels another.

How it works
CallRules works with your normal Phone and messaging apps; it is not a replacement dialer or messaging app. Geographic number rules match telephone prefixes, not the caller's current physical location.

Outgoing protection uses Android's Call Redirection role. When approval is required, CallRules cancels the original attempt and places one replacement call only after confirmation. Android excludes emergency and some gateway calls from redirection.

Location access is optional and requested only when you add a location-constrained incoming rule. Background access lets that rule work while CallRules is closed or the phone is locked.

Silencing texts uses Android's notification access, only for the messaging apps you choose. Texts are checked on your phone and stay in your messaging app; CallRules never deletes texts and requests no SMS permissions.

Hanging up on labeled calls uses the same notification access to read your Phone app's incoming-call notification on your phone, and Android's permission to answer and end calls. The phone rings briefly first, because Android doesn't share the caller-ID label with call screening. Contacts are never hung up on.

Google Play supplies the localized Lifetime Pro price. Restore the purchase from the Upgrade screen when using the same Play account. Address lookup, a Google Sheets import, Play Billing, and files or reports you explicitly share may use external services; these actions are user initiated.
