Features & Capabilities

This is a simple add-on for users like me who prefer to browse old reddit anonymously (without any accounts). This add-on will remove banners trying to get you to buy premium, will remove all sorts of elements that are only used by account users (like upvoting and downvoting buttons). Post/comment scores, usernames, etc. are all still included.

It's basically like a read-only version of old reddit for people who prefer to browse without any intention of participating or creating an account.

Is AnonReddit Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

AnonReddit requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
