User reviews
Users highly value the extension for moving tabs to new windows using keyboard shortcuts, especially for multi-monitor setups. Positive feedback highlights its simplicity, usefulness, and that it addresses a native Chrome limitation. Commonly mentioned issues include the lack of an option to open new windows maximized, inability to keep focus on the original window after moving a tab, and unnecessary startup tabs explaining shortcuts. Users also request more customization options like disabling context menu entries and improved multi-monitor support. Overall, the extension is praised as an essential, effective tool for tab and window management.
Pros
- Allows quick and easy moving of tabs to new windows or popups using keyboard shortcuts.
- Very useful for users with multiple monitors to manage tabs efficiently.
- Simple, straightforward, and fulfills a functionality not natively supported in Chrome and Chromium browsers.
- Open source and considered safe by users, with positive developer engagement.
- Highly appreciated solution enabling better multitasking and window management.
Cons
- New windows opened by the extension are not maximized by default, which users want as an option.
- No built-in option to keep focus on the original window after moving a tab to another window.
- Annoying behavior of opening a shortcut explanation tab every time Chrome starts.
- Lacks options to disable context menu entries or customize default extension button actions.
- Limited multi-monitor support, users want option to send tabs to previous monitors rather than cycling only forward.

Thanks to the developer for this great extension!
Could you please add an option to open new windows maximized? In other words, when tabs are opened as new windows, I would like those windows to be maximized. It seems that this could be a setting under the Resize options for users to choose from. There is an extension called, "New Tab, New Window" that opens new windows maximized, so I know this is possible. I would love this extension to offer that option. Thanks for considering my feature request.
What I'd really love is to create keyboard shortcuts to "Maximize Tab to New Window on Monitor 1" and "Maximize Tab to New Window on Monitor 2."
