Wildoku: Star Battle Puzzle

One animal per row, per column, per territory — and none may touch, not even at a corner. If you already play Star Battle, Queens or Two Not Touch, you know this rule.


Every board has exactly one solution, and exactly one way to reach it: reasoning.


Wildoku is a logic puzzle in the Star Battle tradition, played with one animal per region rather than two stars. Place every animal by deduction alone. That is the whole rule set. What grows is the difficulty.


NEVER GUESS
Every one of the 1,000 puzzles is verified before it ships: exactly one solution, reachable by pure deduction. If you are stuck, the answer is on the board — you have simply not found it yet. No board ever requires a coin flip.


THREE LIVES, ONE THOUSAND POINTS
Each board grants three lives and is worth 1,000 points. Place an animal that breaks a rule and you lose a life — and that cell is marked permanently. It can never hold an animal again. A mistake costs you, but it also tells you something true, and the board gets easier to read as your errors narrow the field.


Mistakes cost 250 points. Hints cost 100. A perfect board is worth the full 1,000. There is no timer counting down on you. Think for as long as you like.


A LONG TRAIL
Begin with the Tiny Rodents on a gentle 5x5 grid. Work through Garden Birds, Pond Dwellers, Burrowers and beyond, and the grids grow with you — 6x6, 7x7, 8x8 and up to 10x10. The tenth board of every animal runs feral: the hardest of its set, and the gate to what comes next.


A COLLECTION WORTH KEEPING
Clear all ten boards of an animal and you earn its Wild Card: a portrait of the
creature, and on the back its species, its habitat, and two true things about it.
The dormouse that sleeps through more than half the year. The duckling that rides its mother's wake to save energy. The crocodile who guards her nest for three months and carries her hatchlings to the water in her mouth. Every fact is checked against reputable sources before it ships — a hundred cards to earn, one animal at a time.


Twenty groups. One hundred animals. One thousand boards — every one of them in the app you install today. The trail ends with the Apex Predators. Few will see them.
