This is a great idea for an extension, and some of the years-old reviews made me think it may have been unfairly maligned, but unfortunately it doesn't currently work/do anything. No additional buttons or options appear on or around the video, and the extension icon is grayed out/marked as being unable to do anything on youtube.com. It doesn't request any permissions from Firefox, not even, "access your data for youtube.com", and there's no way to manually give it those permissions in the options. In short, I think Firefox probably updated the way it handles permissions, and since this hasn't been updated in 2 years, it's lost compatibility. If the project ever gets picked up/becomes active again, though, I'd try it again.
