Youtube List Trimmer Firefox

Youtube List Trimmer

By: Kevin
Adds a button that removes youtube playlist from your address bar and refreshes the tab.

Features & Capabilities

The button searches the current tab with the pattern of "YouTube" and "&list" which only ever matches when you are on a YouTube video as well as it being in a playlist. The script removes the part of the URL after "&list" and refreshes the page.

This effectively saves you the work of manually removing the list parts to not be annoyed by the autoplay features that are forced upon you by youtube playlists.

I've been looking for such an extension for a VERY long time! It does what it says but it could save us the trouble with playlists even further, if you can make it automatically trim that playlist BS from the URL upon copying the video URL. Meaning, when you right click on a video in the search results and select "Copy URL", the extension to automatically remove the playlist part and when you paste the URL wherever (even outside the browser), the pasted URL will be trimmed. That means the extension will need to access clipboard but I think that's doable (on Linux at least, IDK about Windows).
