Yako Firefox

Yako

A beautiful browser start page for Microsoft users and admins. Quick access to all your Microsoft portals.

Features & Capabilities

Every time you open a new tab, Yako gives you a clean, fast start page built for anyone who works with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, Defender, and other Microsoft cloud services.

Three views, one new tab

  • Classic: A minimal start page with backgrounds, clock, quick links, and notes
  • MSPortals.io: A searchable directory of every Microsoft admin portal
  • cmd.ms: A command-line style interface to jump to any portal using cmd.ms shortcuts

Search 900+ Microsoft portals Start typing to instantly find any Microsoft admin portal by name, URL, or category. Results come from cmd.ms and MSPortals.io, two trusted community projects.

Quick Links Pin your most-used portals for one-click access. Browse a built-in catalog of Microsoft portals with icons from the Microsoft Cloud Logos project, or add custom links to any URL.

Customizable Digital or analog clock. Dark mode. Dynamic backgrounds from Unsplash. Custom fonts. Notes and checkboxes. Custom CSS. Make it yours.

Privacy focused Yako requires only the storage permission. It collects no data, has no account system, and no personal information is ever sent. Portal data is fetched from GitHub to stay up to date. The full source code is available on GitHub so you can verify these claims yourself.

Open source & community powered Yako is a fork of Bonjourr, a beautiful open source new tab extension. We added Microsoft portal search, catalog integration, MSPortals.io and cmd.ms views, and admin-focused features on top of their work. Portal data is sourced from Adam Fowler's MSPortals.io and Merill Fernando's cmd.ms. Quick link icons come from Loryan Strant's Microsoft Cloud Logos project.

If you love Yako, please consider donating to Bonjourr at ko-fi.com/bonjourr — they built the foundation that makes this possible.

Free. Open source. No accounts. No tracking. Just a better new tab for Microsoft users and admins.

Is Yako Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Yako requires very minimum permissions.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Yako is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
