User Reviews
switched to the other more popular version of this extension purely out of a security concern (this asks for access to data from all your websites while the other one only asks for data from twitter.com / x.com
by se*****, 2026-02-02
Pretty good, does what it says.
The only gripe I'm having is that after a few days it doesn't really let me open twitter with the button "view on twitter"
by Ph*****, 2025-11-05
Does what it says on the tin, but has a major issue affecting its usability in that it alters the url of ANY website that ends in "x". For example, Dropbox.

Is XCancelRedirect Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
XCancelRedirect requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
