User Reviews

Users appreciate Word Replacer's straightforward interface and the feature to import/export rules and organize them into groups for selective use. It effectively replaces words to customize content, improving user experience. However, several users report problems with React site textboxes where typing becomes difficult due to cursor jumps, and occasional text clipping when replacement words are longer than originals.
Pros
  • Simple and easy-to-use interface
  • Ability to import/export rules easily
  • Supports grouping of rules into pages for selective activation
  • Effectively replaces words as intended and enhances browsing experience
Cons
  • Causes issues with textboxes on React-based sites like Facebook and Discord, moving cursor to start when typing
  • In some cases, replacing shorter words with longer replacements can overlap or clip into adjacent words
Recent reviews
The replacement of words works but the plugin definitely needs some finetuning. For example the word list stays blank even after adding rules (the rules are applied though). Also it would be essentiel to implement a white list for certain domains.

It does what it says it'll do, and does it well. Easy to use, too. Only problem is, I've noticed that pages with large amounts of text load... extremely slowly with it turned on. Wikipedia pages can take minutes to actually become usable. So, keep that in mind I suppose.
