WikiTree Sourcer is a Chrome extension designed to streamline genealogical research on wikitree.com. It enables users to effortlessly search other genealogy websites for relevant records directly from a WikiTree profile page. When viewing records on supported genealogy sites, the extension can extract data to build accurate citations for use on WikiTree, saving time and reducing manual entry.

Additionally, WikiTree Sourcer allows users to search for similar records across various genealogy platforms, helping uncover free or alternative versions of original sources, such as finding free copies of records originally seen on Ancestry. The extension operates silently with minimal performance impact, only activating when its popup menu is used. It does not modify any web pages, ensuring a seamless and unobtrusive user experience.
