WikimediaDebug Firefox

WikimediaDebug

Control the X-Wikimedia-Debug header on HTTP requests.

Features & Capabilities

WikimediaDebug is a Chrome extension designed for developers working with the MediaWiki platform, used by Wikimedia Foundation projects. It injects the X-Wikimedia-Debug HTTP header into requests made only to Wikimedia Foundation websites. This controlled injection enables developers to bypass caching by routing requests directly to a selected debug server, facilitating effective debugging and development workflows. With WikimediaDebug, developers gain precise control over HTTP request headers for easier troubleshooting and testing of MediaWiki-based content.

Is WikimediaDebug Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

WikimediaDebug requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
