⚙️ Tutorial: Configuración avanzada de Firefox

ATENCIÓN 1 --- Quitar límite de tamaño del sidebar

Firefox tiene límites de tamaño para la barra lateral.
Sigue estos pasos para eliminarlos.

Paso 1 --- Abrir carpeta del perfil

Abre Firefox.
Escribe en la barra de direcciones:

about:support

Presiona Enter.
Busca:

Carpeta del perfil

Haz clic en:

Abrir carpeta

Se abrirá la carpeta interna del perfil de Firefox.

Paso 2 --- Crear archivo user.js

Dentro de esa carpeta crea un archivo llamado:

user.js

⚠️ Revisa que no quede como:

user.js.txt

Dentro coloca:

user_pref( "toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets", true );

Guarda el archivo.

Paso 3 --- Crear carpeta chrome

Dentro de la misma carpeta del perfil crea:

chrome

Entra a esa carpeta.

Paso 4 --- Crear userChrome.css

Dentro de chrome crea:

userChrome.css

Pega:

/* Eliminar límites del sidebar */


#sidebar-box {
  min-width: 0 !important;
  max-width: none !important;
}

#sidebar { min-width: 0 !important; max-width: none !important; }

Guarda los cambios.

Paso 5 --- Reiniciar Firefox

Cierra completamente Firefox.

Ábrelo nuevamente.

✅ Ahora podrás ampliar más la barra lateral.

ATENCIÓN 2 --- Quitar la barra superior del sidebar

Firefox Developer Edition puede mostrar una barra arriba del panel:

WhatsApp X

Esa barra pertenece a Firefox y ocupa espacio.

Al activar los estilos personalizados se puede ocultar para tener más lugar para WhatsApp.

Paso 1 --- Abrir configuración avanzada

Escribe:

about:config

Presiona Enter.

Paso 2 --- Buscar preferencia

Busca:

toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets

Paso 3 --- Activar la opción

Cambia el valor a:

Paso 4 --- Reiniciar Firefox

Cierra y abre Firefox.
