WhatsApp Masker keeps your conversations private when your screen isn't.

Working in an open office? Sharing your screen in a meeting? Sitting on a train? Anyone glancing at your monitor can read your WhatsApp Web conve rsations. WhatsApp Masker blurs every message in the open chat — text, stickers, voice notes and media alike — and reveals a message only while y our cursor is over it.

How it works

Every message bubble in the current chat is blurred by default.
Hover over a message to instantly reveal it; move away and it blurs again.
A small "Mask: ON / OFF" button in the bottom-right corner lets you disable or re-enable the effect with one click.
Your choice is remembered between sessions.

Privacy first — by design

100% local: the extension is a few lines of CSS and JavaScript that run only on web.whatsapp.com.
No data collection, no analytics, no tracking.
No network requests — nothing ever leaves your browser.
No permissions beyond running on WhatsApp Web.
Your messages are never read, stored or modified; they are only visually blurred with CSS.
