| 2025-04-03 | Ri***** | Hi, so it started out okay, the add-on installed easily enough, looked good, had a clean and simple interface, so it should work no prob, right? Not! I use the Windows' on-screen keyboard, but every time I activated the add-on's text box and then moved my mouse pointer to the keyboard, the keyboard would minimize. This is where this add-on becomes a useless rock, but I'm a minority in this, so I'll continue. (I am curious why you would take the focus off the text box whenever the mouse left the sidebar.) But even if I could use it with my on-screen keyboard, there is still, as far as I know, no exporting the notes or viewing/editing all of them together on a single page. Also, there is no context menu item to copy a page's selected text to the note: I couldn't even right-click and paste text into the box. Something has to be wrong with my system, bc why would someone disable pasting? There's no rtf that I know of, bc I wasn't going to suffer sitting up just to type on a physical keyboard, which I almost never ever use, to test an add-on already proven of no use to me. No saving by domain, and no way to know which sites had notes (or does the sidebar auto-open?). There are a lot of issues and missing, critical functionality with this add-on, I think, for me. Later on, I noticed the images of the add-on on Mozilla's site didn't match mine; maybe bc they were images of the add-on on a low-quality system. Creepy seeing that O/S considering... Perhaps it's a bad port, or perhaps the install didn't go normally. Or maybe my Win 10 unit has become so corrupted, testing dozens of apps, utilities, extensions, and a handful of browsers, that this add-on didn't have a chance to succeed. Cheers, r | |
