WebBrain

Open-source AI browser agent — chat with pages, automate tasks, multi-provider LLM support.

Features & Capabilities

WebBrain is a free, open-source AI browser agent for understanding web pages, extracting structured data, and automating browser tasks. Ask questions about the current page in read-only Ask Mode, or let Act Mode click, type, scroll, navigate, and interact with websites. WebBrain supports local models through LM Studio, Ollama, and llama.cpp, as well as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, and other providers.

With optional Apocalypse Mode, WebBrain can continue working offline using on-device text and vision models, searchable Wikipedia archives, emergency reference PDFs, and multilingual communication tools. Smart context management helps avoid token limits, while local processing keeps sensitive data on your device. Archives display their size, source, and license before download. WebBrain is MIT-licensed and developed by Emre Sokullu.

Is WebBrain Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

WebBrain requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
