Touch Lock: Block Screen Touch

Touch Lock is a simple touch lock and touch blocker for Android: freeze the whole screen while a video plays, or block only a partial screen area where touches go wrong.

Hand your phone to a child for a cartoon, watch a film in bed, or keep a cracked corner of the glass from tapping things on its own. Touch Lock puts a see-through layer over the app you are using, so the picture keeps playing while taps and swipes are ignored.

▸ FULL SCREEN TOUCH LOCK
• One tap locks the screen. A short start delay gives you time to open your video or game first.
• Unlock by holding the small lock button for 2 seconds. A single tap, a palm resting on it or a second finger never unlocks.
• The button fades almost to nothing after a few seconds, so it does not sit over the picture. Pick the corner it lives in.
• The screen stays on while locked, so a lock screen for video does not go dark mid-episode.
• Works as a toddler lock: little hands can tap and swipe, and the cartoon keeps playing.

▸ PARTIAL SCREEN ZONES
• Drag rectangles over the areas you want to block. Everywhere else keeps working as usual.
• Move and resize each zone, and tint zones so you can see them.
• Zones are saved by their place on the glass, so they stay in the right spot when you rotate the phone.
• Touch finder: every touch leaves a dot, including touches you did not make, so you can see which area misbehaves before you draw.
• A ghost touch blocker for faulty areas: block touches in faulty areas of the screen and keep using the rest of the phone.

▸ QUICK ACCESS
• Quick Settings tile: lock and unlock from the notification shade.
• A notification with an Unlock button while the lock is on, and an optional notification with Lock buttons while it is off.
• Optional vibration when the lock ends.

▸ HONEST LIMITS
Android keeps the status bar, gesture navigation and the power and volume buttons above every app layer. On newer Android versions those may still respond while Touch Lock is on. For a complete lock, Touch Lock includes a step-by-step guide to screen pinning, the Android feature that keeps one app on screen. Pin the video app, then lock touch.
Touch Lock blocks touches; it cannot repair screen hardware. If you need to block touch on a broken screen, it keeps the faulty area from reacting, and a repair shop is still the real fix. Restarting the phone always removes the lock.

▸ WHO IT IS FOR
• Parents who want a toddler lock while a child watches videos or video calls grandparents.
• Anyone who wants a lock screen for video in bed or on a train.
• Players who want to disable touch screen areas near the edges to stop accidental taps.
• Owners of a cracked or aging screen who need to block touch on a broken screen corner.

▸ FREE VS PREMIUM
• Free: full screen lock, 2 zones, the touch finder, the tile, the notification controls and the screen pinning guide. The free version shows ads.
• Premium: up to 12 zones, several saved zone sets, an auto-unlock timer from 5 to 120 minutes, a PIN to end the full screen lock, and no ads.
• Premium is available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel anytime in Google Play.

▸ PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
• Display over other apps: needed to place the touch-blocking layer. Touch Lock does not read the screen or what you type.
• Notifications (Android 13 and newer): for the Unlock button while locked.
• No accessibility service is used.
• Zones, settings and your PIN stay on your device. The PIN is stored only as a salted hash.
• Anonymous usage and crash statistics help us fix problems. Ads in the free version are provided by an ad network.
• Some phones close background apps to save battery. The setup check shows how to keep the lock running.

Use it as a touch blocker for kids, a disable touch screen switch for movie nights, or a ghost touch blocker for one troublesome strip of glass.
