WHY THIS NUMBER — A SCREEN NO OTHER SPEEDOMETER HAS

Every app here claims accuracy. None tells you whether the signal is good right now. Tap the accuracy figure and this one does:
• The plain verdict — good signal, weak signal, or "the number you see is the last fix received, not your speed now"
• The measurements behind it: accuracy radius, age of the last fix, the update rate your phone actually delivers, satellites used out of visible, and whether speed comes from the GPS chip or from distance ÷ time
• Three explanations instead of three complaints: why your car's dashboard reads higher (by law it may never read low), why the number trails the car, why it drifts while parked

0–100 KM/H TIMER THAT ADMITS ITS OWN MARGIN

• Stop, tap Ready, drive — timing starts by itself, stops at 100 km/h (or 0–60 mph)
• Start and finish are interpolated between fixes, so two runs are comparable
• Every result carries a ± figure, because a fix once or twice a second cannot pin the exact instant of crossing
• If the signal drops mid-run, the run is voided and you are told why
• For closed courses only, never on a public road

PRIVACY FIRST

Your location is used only on this device to compute your speed. Your position, your trips and your track are never uploaded, shared or sold: they stay in the app's local database and you can delete them at any time. The Map tab downloads map tiles from OpenStreetMap when you look at an area for the first time — that request carries the map square, not your identity. The app also sends anonymous usage counts and crash reports (Google Analytics and Crashlytics) so we can see which screens matter and fix what breaks; those contain no location and no personal data. No account is ever required.
