O projeto Viu Politica é um "spin-off" do projeto Mozilla YouTube Regrets, com foco nas eleições brasileiras de 2022.

Como parte do trabalho contínuo da Mozilla Foundation para promover transparência e responsabilidade em sistemas de recomendação de conteúdo, esta extensão de navegador oferece aos usuários a oportunidade de contribuir com dados para essa pesquisa, marcando vídeos que eles consideram políticos.

Essa extensão do navegador nos permitirá realizar pesquisas sobre que tipo de recomendações de conteúdo baseadas em IA/ML os usuários consideram relacionadas à política e usar essa pesquisa para aumentar a conscientização e fazer recomendações sobre como as empresas podem tornar as recomendações de conteúdo mais transparentes. Nossas conclusões sobre os pontos de entrada para conteúdo político, bem como as categorias de conteúdo político, podem ser úteis para os funcionários do YouTube que trabalham para reduzir as recomendações de conteúdo nocivo (uma meta declarada publicamente do YouTube).

The Viu Politica project is a "spin-off" of the Mozilla YouTube Regrets project, with a focus on the 2022 Brazilian Elections.

As part of the Mozilla Foundation’s ongoing advocacy work to push for transparency and accountability in algorithmic content recommendation systems, this browser extension gives users the opportunity to help this research by donating data about videos they consider to be political.

This browser extension will enable us to conduct research into what kind of AI/ML-powered content recommendations users find to be related to politics, and use that research to raise awareness and make recommendations on how companies can make content recommendations more transparent. Our conclusions about the entry points for political content as well as the categories of political content can be useful to employees at YouTube working to reduce recommendations of harmful content (a publicly stated goal of YouTube).
