2. Photo/Media/Files Permission
Purpose:
The photo/media/files permission allows VisionScan to access your device’s storage. This permission is required to perform the following actions:
Save generated QR codes to your photo gallery.
Access images stored in your gallery for QR code scanning and OCR processing.
Functionality Enabled by This Permission:
Saving generated QR codes directly to your photo gallery for easy access.
Selecting existing images from your gallery to scan QR codes or extract text using OCR.
How We Use This Permission:
Saving QR Codes: After generating a QR code within the app, you can save it as an image to your device's gallery. This allows you to easily use the QR code whenever needed.
Gallery Access: You can choose images from your device's gallery to scan for QR codes or perform OCR on text within those images.
3. Data Privacy and Security
VisionScan does not collect or store any personal data from your device. The permissions requested are solely for enabling the core functionalities of the app. All processing of QR codes and text recognition is done locally on your device, and no data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.
