Find the spy — or be the spy.
Cipher is a social deduction party game for 3 to 10 players. Everyone shares a secret location except the spy, who has no idea where they are. Through questions and conversation, players try to expose the spy before time runs out. The spy tries to figure out the location without giving themselves away. Simple rules, tense gameplay, unforgettable moments.
No server. No account. No internet. Just your friends and a local Wi-Fi network.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY
▸ Multiplayer over Wi-Fi
One player creates a room and shares a 6-digit code or QR code. Everyone joins from their own phone over the same Wi-Fi network. No internet connection is used — the host's device acts as the server, and all communication stays within your local network. Works at home, at a café, anywhere with a router.
▸ Offline Mode
Only one phone at the table? No problem. Offline Mode runs entirely on a single device. Set the player count, pick a word pack, and pass the phone around — each player taps to secretly reveal their role, then hands it to the next person. No Wi-Fi, no network, no setup. Just start and play.
GAME SETUP YOUR WAY
Cipher gives the host full control before every round:

Word Packs — choose from four built-in categories (Locations, Food & Drink, Sports, Movies) or create your own custom list of locations right in the app.
Custom Roles — define your own role names and descriptions for variant rules and house games.
Spy Count — play with 1, 2, or 3 spies. The app automatically caps the number by player count so the game stays balanced.
Timer — set rounds from 1 to 15 minutes.
Win Conditions — toggle independently: spy wins by staying hidden, spy wins by correctly guessing the location after being caught. Mix and match for different styles of play.

DURING THE GAME
Once roles are revealed, a countdown begins. Players ask each other questions — probing for knowledge that only someone who knows the location would have, while the spy tries to ask just enough to narrow things down without exposing themselves.
Any player can call a vote to eliminate a suspect. Most votes wins. If the accused turns out not to be the spy, the players lose precious time. If the spy is caught, they get one last chance — guess the location correctly and steal the win.
The app manages the timer, tracks eliminations, and handles the vote. You handle the accusations.
DESIGNED FOR THE TABLE
Cipher is built to disappear into the background and let the game happen. The interface is dark, fast, and distraction-free — readable at a glance so players spend their attention on each other, not on the screen.
Role cards are protected at the OS level during reveal: screenshots and screen recordings are blocked so no one can cheat by checking their camera roll.
The app is available in English, Russian, and Uzbek. Language switches instantly — no restart required.

Cipher does not connect to the internet during gameplay. It does not collect data, serve ads, or report anything to any server. Your nickname, avatar, and preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave it.
Inspired by the tabletop game Spyfall (Alexandr Ushan, 2014). Cipher is an unaffiliated reimplementation.
Requires Android 8.0 or later. Multiplayer requires Wi-Fi with client-to-client traffic enabled (standard on home networks).
