Review summary

User reviews for the Firefox add-on show a split experience. A few users found it very useful and rated it among the best UA switchers, especially when it worked and could outperform alternatives on some sites. However, the majority report reliability problems: the extension frequently stops functioning across updates and Firefox versions, and it can break YouTube playback and Google searches, sometimes prompting captchas. Compatibility issues are common, including broken whitelist/containers features and failures on newer Firefox forks. Overall, while it can be helpful in narrow use cases, its reliability and ongoing support are major concerns.
Pros
  • When it worked, it was very useful and praised as one of the best UA switchers.
  • It performed well compared to other UA switchers and could fool some sites.
  • It still had value in scenarios that don't require up-to-date user agents.
Cons
  • Frequently stops working or becomes non-functional across updates and Firefox versions.
  • Breaks YouTube playback after a short time, causing the player to stop or crash.
  • Disrupts Google search and can trigger captchas.
  • Compatibility issues: broken whitelist/containers features, failures on newer Firefox forks, and removal of per-container UA assignment.
  • Poor reliability on Android and in general.

2026-06-29 jw***** Red Flag: webpage claims "Optional permissions: Access your data for all web sites" but install dialog says this permission is *required*. It's unclear why a UA switcher requires "Access your data for all websites" but that permission description says: "The extension could read the content of any web page you visit, as well as data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords. This is used for password managers, shopping tools, ad blockers, etc. " A UA switcher isn't any of those, so... why?

2026-06-03 mk***** Hi, thanks for the add-on. It was a bit difficult at first to figure out how it works, but after I discovered that all the buttons have tooltips, it got much easier. I have an enhancement suggestion: perhaps it would be more convenient if the filter in the popup window would not simply grey out items that don't match it, but hide (collapse) them, so that only what the user searches for is displayed.
