URL (protocol, hostname, path) in title Firefox

URL (protocol, hostname, path) in title

By: Tormen
Adds the URL of the tab to the windows title: * optional delimiter (e.g. ' - ') * optional protocol (e.g. 'http://') * hostname (e.g. 'foo.org') * optional path (e.g. '/foo.php') This is for instance useful for keepass/keepassX.

Features & Capabilities

This addon can help you with the keepass autotype function. For which it is helpful to display the URL with hostname and potentially the protocol (http or https) and path in the title of the current tab. The title of the currently active tab will then become your window title, which helps keepass / keepassX / keepassXC to identify the current window and link it to a password entry in your keepass database.

[2017-10-04] I noticed today a problem on https://login.oracle.com/mysso/signon.jsp for some reason the addon does not yet work all the time! Sometimes it does work, sometimes it does not. -- I will have to investigate. If you find more pages, please let me know - probably due to some javascript interference...

Keeps losing the hostname in the title! This makes KeePass fail to auto-login. So annoying!
