Pumpy

Pumpy is a comprehensive fuel price comparison companion for drivers across the UK. Find, compare, and track live petrol and diesel prices at local forecourts to make informed decisions before you fill up.

Whether you are looking for the absolute cheapest fuel in your area or plotting a route, Pumpy organizes live pricing data into a clean list or an interactive map view to fit your preferences.

Core Features

* Station Discovery: View nearby stations automatically using your device location, or search manually by entering any UK town, city, or postcode.
* Flexible Filtering: Filter search results by specific fuel grades, including E10 unleaded and E5 super unleaded petrol, and B7 diesel and B7 premium diesel. Adjust your search radius from 1 to 50 miles to find the right balance between distance and cost.
* True Cost Sorting: Arrange forecourts by cheapest price, nearest distance, or a 'best' sort model, which factors in both the fuel price and the estimated travel cost per mile to calculate true value.
* Interactive Map View: Browse local stations using an interactive map featuring color-coded pins based on relative price. Customize your map view with dark, light, or system themes, and choose whether to display brand logos directly on the pins.
* Comprehensive Station Details: Access complete profiles for every forecourt, including a full breakdown of all available fuel grades, current opening hours, and listed amenities such as car washes, public toilets, and 24/7 access. Open external navigation systems directly from the station profile to get turn-by-turn directions.

Community-Driven Accuracy

Pumpy relies on robust verification features to ensure data integrity across the network:

* Location-Verified Confirmations: Registered users can verify forecourt prices directly from the pump. The application uses secure, geofenced location checks to confirm you are physically at the station, building a community trust score and generating data confirmation badges for other drivers.
* Detailed Issue Reporting: Easily flag data discrepancies through our step-by-step reporting wizard. Report incorrect fuel prices, outdated opening hours, missing amenities, inaccurate map locations, or permanent forecourt closures to keep the directory accurate.

User Control and Privacy

Your data belongs to you. Pumpy operates under a minimal-data collection protocol. For unauthenticated users, all preference settings remain completely local to the device. Registered users can permanently delete their accounts and purge all cloud preferences, saved favourites, and profile entries at any time directly through the application settings or via our web management portal.
