User Reviews

Users find My Network helpful for viewing O2 coverage maps and checking network status. However, multiple reviews criticize frequent app crashes, login and registration failures, high background data usage, inability to report issues without mobile signal, and unreliable or inaccurate network information. The app's map features are also limited and cumbersome. While it offers some value in reporting network outages and viewing mast locations, usability issues and inconsistent performance diminish its effectiveness.
Pros
  • Provides network coverage, mast, and WiFi maps that are useful for locating network sites and good signal areas.
  • Allows users to check network status and report issues to O2, with some responsiveness from O2 customer service.
  • Includes options to disable background data collection, which can help manage data usage.
  • Useful for finding the best O2 signal spots and understanding network coverage visually on a map.
Cons
  • App frequently crashes, especially when adding alert locations or running speed tests.
  • Login and account creation processes often fail, with problems receiving verification texts and general registration errors.
  • Consumes high amounts of background data (around 1GB per month), which is problematic for users with limited data plans.
  • Network issue reporting requires active mobile signal and cannot be done offline or over WiFi, limiting usability when signal is poor or nonexistent.
  • Map functionality is limited, with poor zooming controls; also, app sometimes inaccurately reports signal quality and is unreliable in indicating actual network status.
Recent reviews
Coverage, mast and WiFi maps are nice. However, the "My alert places" function doesn't work, it's not saving any location...

Used to work great. Now it frequently is unable to run a test. I'm unable to enable location, all the time. The option is greyed out. Even if I sign in using my phone it's an issue. Since 15th October frequently get a "no Internet connection " notification. Which is odd, since the network coverage in this area is good and normally find that there are "no issues " in my area, when checking the O2 status quo in relation to coverage Therefore I'm currently dealing with unreliability daily
