KB Cars Driver

KB Cars Driver is the official app for drivers of KB Cars Ltd, a Transport for London licensed private hire operator. It connects you to the KB Cars office so you can receive work, drive and get paid — all from your phone.

This app is for KB Cars drivers. You sign in with the username and password the office gives you. New to KB Cars? You can apply to join from the welcome screen.

Receive and accept jobs
• Get job offers from dispatch with a clear accept or decline screen and a countdown.
• See pickup, destination, fare and customer details at a glance.
• Move each job through its stages: on the way, arrived, passenger on board and completed.

Navigate
• Open the pickup and destination in your maps app for turn-by-turn directions.

Go on and off shift
• Tap "on shift" to start receiving offers and "off shift" when you are done.
• The office only sends you work, and only uses your location, while you are on shift.

Earnings and payments
• Keep track of your completed jobs and earnings.
• Take card payments from passengers with Tap to Pay on supported phones, including an optional tip the customer adds themselves. Tap to Pay availability depends on your device and region.
• Add the bank account the office pays your earnings into. You re-enter your password to view or change your payout details.

Messaging
• Message the office from the app and get notified when they reply.

Documents and profile
• Upload the documents the office needs, such as your private hire badge and driving licence, straight from your phone.
• Keep your contact details up to date.

Safety
• Access in-app safety features while you are working.

Location
KB Cars Driver uses your location in the background only while you are on shift, so the office can route the nearest driver to each customer and passengers can see that their driver is on the way. Location collection stops as soon as you go off shift.

KB Cars Driver is intended for licensed drivers working with KB Cars Ltd. A KB Cars driver account is required to use the app.
