Discover people and things around you!
Radar — Mesh Messenger & Peer Scanner
Radar is not just another messaging app — it’s a live peer-discovery and communication platform that works across Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the internet, even when conventional networks are down. It’s a prepper’s must-have tool: ideal for cruise ships, underground, on airplanes, at festivals, in remote areas, during disasters, or even apocalyptic scenarios where infrastructure fails.
Live Radar Scanner
At the heart of Radar is a real-time animated radar sweep that continuously hunts for nearby people and devices across every available wireless channel simultaneously. Unlike a simple contact list, Radar actively discovers peers around you right now — no accounts required, no central server needed.
Radar scans using Bluetooth Low Energy, advertising your presence and detecting other devices within BLE range. It runs Wi-Fi Aware (Neighbour Awareness Networking) in parallel, enabling direct phone-to-phone discovery without a router or internet connection — two phones side by side in a field can find each other instantly. It also sweeps your local IP network for anyone on the same Wi-Fi and can relay through a configurable internet server when you need to reach contacts further away.
Every discovered device appears as a blip on the animated radar screen. Tap any blip to view a full detail card with the peer’s display name, profile photo, device type, IP/MAC addresses, discovery channel, and estimated physical distance from signal strength. From there you can chat, view profiles, map their location, or block them in one tap.
Mesh Messaging — Every Channel, One Inbox
Radar’s messaging engine routes each message automatically over the best available path — Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi Aware, local network, or internet relay — and switches channels transparently if one goes down. Every Radar-to-Radar message is end-to-end encrypted by default, and strict guard mode can prevent unencrypted messages from ever being sent.
Chat one-to-one or use Group Broadcast to message multiple contacts at once. Long-press messages for reactions, pinning, copy, delete, or resend. Delivery state, acknowledgements, and read receipts are visible per message. Received messages can be translated instantly into your device language.
Send images, video, audio, and any file type directly in chat. Large files are automatically split into chunks for reliable transfer over the mesh and silently reassembled on the other end. Record voice clips or take photos without leaving the conversation.
Radar also integrates SMS and MMS — read, send, and import your existing SMS inbox without switching apps. Connect to any Matrix / Element-compatible homeserver to join federated public or private rooms, send media, and manage encryption keys.
Contacts, Maps & Tracking
Your contact list merges Radar peers with your Android address book into one searchable, indexed list. Each contact card shows a live compass arrow and distance to nearby peers, updated every 500 ms. Verified contacts display a trust badge, and any Radar peer can be saved directly to your Android contacts.
The built-in map plots known peer GPS positions in real time. Overlay layers add earthquakes, hospitals, pharmacies, and with premium features: live aircraft, drone, and coming soon marine and vehicle tracking, plus historical Wi-Fi network data from WiGLE.
Emergency Hub
The Emergency hub provides a distress alarm, SOS torch flash in Morse code, one-tap access to country-specific emergency numbers, nearby hospitals and pharmacies, and a built-in emergency broadcast radio player.
Security & Privacy
Biometric lock, per-chat encryption toggles, full device identity reset with cryptographic key wipe and regeneration, scoped contact access, and transparent foreground-service notifications give you full control over your privacy.
