Features & Capabilities

uBypass is a powerful Chrome extension designed to bypass paywalls on news sites and articles, allowing you to read full content anonymously and for free. By leveraging Google's cached index of web pages, uBypass fetches the full article versions that publishers show to Google's crawlers but hide behind paywalls for regular users.

Simply pin the uBypass extension on your toolbar and click it when you encounter a paywalled webpage. It opens a new tab with the unrestricted article, improving your reading experience by removing empty ad blocks and clutter. The extension also includes request blocking for better page loading. Being open-source, users and developers are welcome to contribute enhancements and UI improvements on its GitHub repository.

I install it. I try using it on a New York Times article. Clicking the button leads me to a 404 error page. I have uninstalled it.
