Twitter Origifier

Makes twitter images their original resolution

Twitter Origifier is a handy Chrome extension that ensures you always see Twitter images in their original full resolution. Twitter typically hides high-resolution images behind an ':orig' URL flag, but this extension automatically modifies image URLs to display them at their highest quality without extra effort.

Using Twitter Origifier is simple: just right-click any Twitter image, open it in a new tab, and the extension will display the image in its full resolution. This tool is perfect for users who want clearer, sharper images from their Twitter browsing experience, especially photographers, designers, and visual content enthusiasts.

User reviews

Twitter Origifier is appreciated for simplifying and speeding up the process of viewing original full-size images on Twitter by reducing clicks. It reliably enables right-clicking to view images directly in a new tab, enhancing user experience. However, some users note that due to browser updates, its functionality may now be redundant as Firefox supports full-size image viewing on Twitter natively.
Pros
  • Saves an extra click by directly opening the original full-size image on Twitter.
  • Simplifies the process of viewing Twitter images in their original resolution.
  • Works reliably by enabling 'right click > view image' to access full-size images.
  • Enhances Twitter image viewing convenience.
Cons
  • Some users feel the add-on might be unnecessary as Firefox now supports viewing full-size images on Twitter by default.

Exactly what I needed. All it does is saving a click. Without this extension you have to left click the picture first before you can open the original in a new tab with right click.
