PhotoEditor is a focused, no-fluff photo editor built around a clean layer system, on-device AI, and classic filters that just work.

KEY FEATURES

▸ Smart filters
9 hand-tuned filters: Original, Binary, Gray, Reverse, Red, Pixelize, Glare, Oil Paint, and Emboss. Tap one to apply to the whole photo, or use the Selection tool to apply only to a circle or rectangle area.

▸ Powerful layer system
Stack image, text, and sticker layers above or below the base photo. Pinch, drag, and rotate each layer freely. Per-layer opacity and blend modes (Normal / Multiply / Screen / Overlay / Soft Light). Drag any layer across the base to flip it between the back and front.

▸ On-device AI
- Remove Background — cuts out the subject cleanly using ML Kit selfie segmentation.
- Blur Background — keeps the subject sharp, softens the rest.
- AI Person Eraser — uses an MI-GAN inpainting model to make passers-by disappear with three tunable sliders (range / softness / top-extension).
- Blur Person Eraser — feathered Gaussian fill for a faster, lighter alternative.

▸ Selection-region filters
Pick the circle or rectangle tool, draw a region on the photo, then apply any filter — the result becomes its own layer instead of touching the original.

▸ Collage
Pick 2–6 photos, choose a layout, swap slots with a tap, and save a 1080×1080 collage to your gallery.

▸ Other niceties
- 10-deep undo / redo across every operation.
- Light / Dark theme follows your system.
- Three languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese.
- Photos stay on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

PRIVACY

Everything runs locally. The MI-GAN AI eraser is bundled inside the app and never sends your photos to the cloud. Camera and Photo Library access is requested only when needed.
