TryGoogle Firefox

TryGoogle

Try Google allows you to retry your DuckDuckGo search with the google search engine.

Features & Capabilities

If you are here you probably know DuckDuckGo and think it is the greatest search engine (If you don't here is why).

However sometimes, of course due to the lack of trackers and stuff, DuckDuckGo search engine fails to deliver the correct result. That's what TryGoogle is for, it will add your DuckDuckGo search result page a "TryGoogle" link. Click on it and it will recreate your query using the google search engine.

Also, in order for your google search to be a little more private, TryGoogle will add noopener, nofollow and noreferrer attributes to the query. This will prevent google from knowing where you came from.

Is TryGoogle Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TryGoogle requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
