Transit Time Filter Firefox

Transit Time Filter

See, filter and sort hotels by real public transit time to your destination — on Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, Agoda, Trivago, KAYAK and more.

Features & Capabilities

Transit Time Filter shows the real public transit time from every hotel in your search results to your destination, and lets you filter and sort by it. Works on Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Trip.com, KAYAK, Priceline and Trivago.

Tired of booking a hotel that "looks close on the map" but takes 45 minutes by public transit? Transit Time Filter calculates the actual travel time from every hotel to your destination using real public transit data — buses, metro, trams, and trains.

⭐ KEY FEATURES

• Real transit times — Each hotel card gets a badge with the travel time and route icons (🚇M2 › 🚌54 — 23 min) • Filter by time — Set a maximum travel time and de-emphasize hotels that are too far • Sort by transit — One click to sort all hotels from closest to farthest (and back) • Route details — Lines to take, number of transfers, and walking time in a tooltip • Advanced filters — Max transfers, max walking time, or specific transit modes (metro, bus, tram, train) • Hotel detail pages — A transit-time banner also appears on individual hotel pages • Restrict search area — On Booking.com, reload results limited to the transit-reachable area • Works worldwide — Powered by Transitous, a free open-source routing service with 1800+ transit feeds in 55+ countries

🌐 SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Trip.com, KAYAK, Priceline and Trivago — search results and hotel detail pages.

🆓 COMPLETELY FREE

No API keys needed! Transit routing uses Transitous (transitous.org), a free open-source service. No sign-up, no subscription, no hidden costs. Power users can optionally plug in their own Google Routes and TravelTime API keys from the extension popup.

🔒 PRIVACY FIRST

• No personal data collected, no browsing history tracked • Hotel coordinates are only sent to the transit routing service to calculate routes • Anonymous usage analytics only (random install id, coarse data — never exact prices); on Firefox you can opt out at install time • The extension never runs on checkout, payment, or confirmation pages

📍 HOW IT WORKS

  1. Search for hotels on any supported platform as you normally would
  2. The extension calculates transit times from each hotel to your search destination
  3. Use the Transit panel (top-right button) to filter and sort by travel time
  4. Open any hotel to see its transit time on the detail page too
🌍 SUPPORTED COUNTRIES

Works in 55+ countries including Italy, Germany, France, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, and many more.

💡 TIPS

• The filter works best when you search near a specific point of interest (landmark, office, venue) • Use "Direct only" to find hotels with no-transfer routes • Use mode filters to show only metro-accessible or only bus-accessible hotels

Made with ❤️ for travelers who care about getting around easily.
