The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) is the official statistics producer of Turkey, which is responsible for conducting all kinds of research on behalf of the state. The main task of the Turkish Statistical Institute is; It is to compile data and information in the areas needed by the country, to produce, publish and distribute the necessary statistics. TurkStat collects data from relevant individuals, households or workplaces through surveys and censuses, analyzes these data and transforms them into statistical information. These statistical information are reliable guides in the decision-making stages of all segments of the society. In addition, it prepares the monitoring and evaluation of the activities in the program by preparing the Official Statistics Program, which includes information about which definition, method, scope and classification will be used by which institution, how often, and how often the data will be compiled and published.

TÜİK, which compiles many household and workplace surveys through computer-aided programs, also conducts surveys via mobile phone application in various studies.
