Toggle Resist Fingerprinting Firefox

Toggle Resist Fingerprinting

Adds a button to the tab bar to toggle the "resist fingerprinting" setting.

Features & Capabilities

The "Toggle Resist Fingerprinting" Chrome extension adds a convenient button to your browser's tab bar that allows you to quickly enable or disable the "resist fingerprinting" setting. This setting helps protect your privacy by preventing websites from uniquely identifying your browser through fingerprinting techniques, which are often used for tracking purposes.

Note that enabling resist fingerprinting may impact website functionality or cause some sites to break. The extension places its icon by default in the tab bar, and if you use other extensions that modify the tab bar, you may need to temporarily revert to the default tab bar to access the toggle.

This extension leverages a simple UI element to give users quick control over an important privacy feature, empowering greater control over online fingerprinting and tracking without complicated configuration.

User Reviews

Does exactly what it says. Adds a single button to the upper tab bar to enable and disable ResistFingerprinting. Saves you the trouble of opening up Settings, searching for "fingerprint" and manually unchecking the box. Very helpful for sites like eBay and Facebook where you need to disable it to upload photos.
