Automatically track what you watch and keep your trackers up to date

Features & Capabilities

TMSync passively tracks what you watch and keeps your trackers up to date automatically. No manual logging, no check-ins.

One watch, every tracker TMSync records your progress to the trackers you connect, and it can update several of them at once. Watch something a single time and every connected tracker stays in sync automatically. Works with Trakt and AniList today, with support for more on the way.

How it works TMSync reads what is playing (title, season, and episode) from the page and the video player, then records your progress for you. Coverage is defined by lightweight, community-contributed "recipes." Not covered yet? Use the built-in picker to add it in a few clicks.

More than tracking • Rate and leave a private note on what you watched, right from the on-page badge or the toolbar popup. One rating updates every connected tracker. • Jump straight to any tracked item on its tracker. • Handy shortcuts on your tracker pages take you back to where you watch. • Works in Chrome and Firefox.

Privacy by design There is no backend. Your viewing activity and login tokens stay in your browser and are sent only to the trackers you connect, never to the developer or anyone else. Access is requested only for the pages you explicitly enable, never everything at install.

Is TMSync Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TMSync requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

TMSync is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
