User Reviews

Users broadly praise Wifi SignalBar for reliably showing WiFi strength in the status bar, its straightforward, minimal UI, and its usefulness across a range of devices. Many say it’s among the best in its category and would pay for added features like switching networks. However, several recurring issues appear: some reviews question authenticity, the status bar text/background can be hard to read (black text on dark backgrounds; requests for white), the app creates a permanent notification, and on certain Android versions it can wake up the screen or drain battery. Overall, strong functionality with notable UX drawbacks.
Pros
  • Accurate wifi signal strength indicator in the status bar across devices.
  • Minimalistic, straightforward, easy-to-use UI.
  • Works on multiple devices (Moto Z Play, Tab S, OnePlus One, HTC, etc.).
  • Generally reliable and well-regarded; considered among the best in its category.
  • Strong perceived value with potential for additional features (e.g., switching networks).
Cons
  • Readability issues: status bar text color can be black and hard to read; users request white as default.
  • Permanent notification in the notification shade; a setting to disable is often requested.
  • Battery drain or screen wakeups on some Android versions (e.g., 5.0.2).
  • Some reviews accuse the app of being fake or untrustworthy.
  • Suggestions for UI improvements (icon/text size and color) to improve visibility.
Recent reviews
Hopefully the developers keep this alive and updated as this is the best in its category.
