Titles Extension Firefox

Titles Extension

Extension to get page titles and urls and format them for use on a website or content management system.

Features & Capabilities

The Titles Extension was originally designed for my personal use, however I have decided to host the source code on GitHub and publish the add-on. It works as a button in Firefox and allows you to copy the current page title and URL to the clipboard.

In addition to copying as HTML there are options to get the title and url as Markdown or in Wiki format. However with HTML Address tag output there are some other options available, the pop-up dialog allows customisation and adjustment before copying to the clipboard.

I originally used the Titles Extension when adding links to my Drupal website, which I edit with HTML, however the option for Markdown or Wiki output has also proved very useful. Hopefully this extension might be useful to someone else.

Is Titles Extension Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Titles Extension requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
