User Reviews

Users appreciate TitleCase for its ease of use, helpful shortcut keys, and versatility in text case transformations, making it an essential tool for online text editing. However, several users report issues with the latest Firefox versions where the add-on stops working or requires full text selection rather than cursor-based operations. The Alt-key shortcuts can be inconsistent, and it does not function well inside some editors like Wordpress or form inputs. Additionally, the title case conversion can mishandle acronyms in all caps. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a favored add-on for many users.
Pros
  • Simple and easy to use with helpful Alt-key shortcuts
  • Effective in transforming text cases on web pages
  • Supports more options than some similar extensions
  • Reliable and essential for frequent online text editing
  • Offers multiple subtle or interesting text case conversions
Cons
  • Does not work properly in newer Firefox versions for some users
  • Requires full text selection for case changes instead of cursor position only
  • Alt-key shortcuts sometimes fail or are not recognized
  • Doesn't work in some editors like Wordpress text editor or form input fields
  • Title casing sometimes mishandles all-caps words (e.g., ACLU becoming Aclu)

Not working properly since Firefox 139 :( Selected texts are not changing :(

My primary use is to convert text to Title Case, and the title case conversion in this extension is too crude to be really useful. It would be better, for example, if it did not mess with words in all caps, at least as an option, so ACLU doesn't get converted to Aclu.
