Time Travel Firefox

Time Travel

Fake the current date, time and time zone in JavaScript Date or Intl.DateTimeFormat objects. Time Travel helps you debug time-dependent frontend applications without having to change the system time.

Features & Capabilities

Time Travel is a Chrome extension that lets you fake the current date, time and time zone for JavaScript Date and Intl.DateTimeFormat objects in a single tab. Open the tab you want to test, click the extension, pick or type a date/time, and enable the fake date. Only the current tab and origin are affected, and the clock will run forward from the configured time or can be stopped with the Stop Clock toggle.

Features include full faking of all Date and Intl.DateTimeFormat methods, optional time zone changes with DST support (experimental), the ability to stop/resume time, and an option to auto-reload the page after changing the date. Limitations: only JavaScript is affected, some animations may behave oddly if time is stopped, and it won't work inside sandboxed iframes. Time Travel is open source (MIT) — contributions, issues and PRs are welcome on GitHub.

High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Time Travel requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
