The Reading Ruler Firefox

The Reading Ruler

A ruler that overlays a website to help you read. Helpful for people who struggle with reading and retaining information.

Features & Capabilities

A common technique recommended for people who struggle to read and retain the information as they read is to use a ruler to read every line. This add-on creates a line across the webpage that follows the cursor and darkens the lower half to recreate this technique.

i have adhd, so seeing things like this is wonderful, it helps a lot! the line sometimes lags behind the cursor though (but this is to be expected due to how all these things work, i presume), but when it stops, it stops a bit lower/higher than the expected position of below, above or on the cursor. but, this might be a problem on my end haha... either way! (・ω・)b edit. ALSO I FORGOR BUT presets would be nice too eheh i think 3 is enough but it's your call edit after the dev's response. OKAYY!! i'll try to experiment a bit to see if the issue is specific to some environments/circumstances/websites/etc. ah i meant presets as in custom presets where you can save your line color, overlay color and overlay opacity. although general presets might be good too... or, if we're speaking about presets, maybe more customization... IDK I HAVE A BUNCH OF IDEAS BUT I AM VERY BEGINNER in terms of coding and everything related... so yeah i need to think about it some more >< but it's okay, no pressure! personal projects should be just that - projects to enjoy spending your time on, "for the soul", so to speak (ehhh it sounds weird in english but it makes sense in my native lang, trust me lolol) edit after the dev's response 2. oh and keyboard shortcuts and/or website exclusions* would be good too... *deep_thinking*
