THDAID: tab organizer Firefox

THDAID: tab organizer

By: DustD Add-on
Tab Hoarding Disorder Aid(THDAID). Visualize and reorganize all your tabs across every window in one full-page overview.

Features & Capabilities

THDAID is a visual workspace for Firefox users who keep many tabs open across several windows.

Open THDAID from the toolbar to see your current browser session as a Panorama-style canvas: each window is a movable card and each tab is an interactive tile. It is designed to make large tab collections easier to understand, reorganize, and return to later.

Organize your workspace

  • View normal Firefox windows and their tabs in one place.
  • Search tab titles and URLs across all open windows.
  • Drag tabs between windows and tab groups, or drop them onto empty canvas space to create a new background window.
  • Select multiple tabs or window cards for batch actions and layout changes.
  • Arrange window cards freely, rename them, choose an accent color, and collapse cards or groups when you need less visual clutter.
  • Switch group flow between horizontal and vertical layouts.
Keep work safe and recoverable
  • Send a window to the Shelf as an Archive and restore it later.
  • Create a Ghost Archive: the real Firefox window closes, while a compact grey, editable placeholder stays on the canvas. You can move it, collapse it, remove saved tabs, and restore the window in the same canvas position when needed.
  • Recover individual closed tabs from Trash, including by dragging them to a destination window or to empty canvas space.
Designed for everyday use
  • Use the in-page overlay on ordinary websites, or open the full canvas when you need more room.
  • Create new windows in the background so the canvas stays in focus.
  • Optional Unload on move can discard moved tabs to reduce memory use; turn it off whenever you prefer tabs to remain loaded.
  • Mouse, touch, and pen-friendly dragging are supported inside THDAID.
THDAID works locally in Firefox. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Tab and window metadata is used only inside the extension to show and manage your own browser session.
