It uses the browser's native engine to play selected text using text-to-speech technology without sending any data or making requests to external services.

Read selected text from a web page.
Buttons to pause, resume and stop speech.
Speech volume and speed selection.
Automatic highlight current word to read and follow the text while hearing the voice.
Move text cursor and press Play to start reading at any position of the text.
Progress bar.

Permissions: activeTab - to excecute the script to copy the selected text to the textarea of the reader. storage - to save the last selected voice, rate and volume so you don't have to select it every time you want to read something.
